Planning a sailing trip to San Blas with Quest Ocean Adventures? You’re in for an unforgettable experience aboard our 64-foot yacht, where pristine nature, vibrant reefs, and Guna culture await. On your trip with us, you’ll also have the chance to visit remote islands—some completely uninhabited, others home to small Guna settlements where you can experience the local way of life. To make the most of your journey, a bit of preparation goes a long way. Here’s your go-to guide to getting ready for your San Blas adventure.

✉️ Documents to Bring
Valid passport with a printed copy (required for border procedures).
Copy of your travel insurance (optional, but always good to have).
🌊 What to Pack
Swimsuit, towel, and light clothes for hot, tropical weather.
Reef-safe sunscreen (very important!) and mosquito repellent.
Cap or hat, sunglasses, and long-sleeve shirt for sun protection.
A dry bag or waterproof pouch for your electronics and valuables (optional since Captain will drive you to the shore with the dinghy).
Drinks! We provide coffee, tea and drinking water, but please bring your soft drinks, juices and alcoholic beverages. There is a fridge onboard for cooling your drinks.
🩷 Money Matters
Bring enough USD cash. You’ll need it for:
The Guna Yala entrance fee ($20 USD).
Shuttle service to or from Panama City to Puerto Lindo ($25 USD).
Optional island treats like coconuts, beers, or handmade crafts.
There are no ATMs in San Blas, and credit cards are generally not accepted.
🛎️ Luggage Tips
Pack light. Large backpacks will be stored and not accessible during the trip.
Bring a small day bag with everything you’ll need on board.
🚑 Seasickness & Health
Sailing includes two days on open sea, so we recommend bringing seasickness tablets (like Dramamine). Start taking them before departure to ensure comfort.
Let us know in advance if you have any dietary requirements. We happily cater to vegan and vegetarian diets.
🚢 Be Ready for Adventure
You’ll snorkel coral reefs, sip a Coco Loco on the beach, visit remote Guna settlements, and explore uninhabited islands.
Embrace the simplicity: no Wi-Fi, no stress, just the rhythm of the sea.

Ready to explore the untouched beauty of San Blas? Your sailing adventure aboard Quest is calling.
Greetings from the crew,
Captain Goeran & Chef Hilda
